NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

Nepal Agriculture Market Development Programme (NAMDP) - phase II also known as “Sahaj” was launched to strengthen agri-business in 14 districts of province-1. Sahaj was funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and implemented by a consortium of Swisscontact (as lead) and Center for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension and Development (CEAPRED). The project was implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives. It was a four years programme started in Nov 2020 and phased out on Nov 2024. The program supported towards services and innovations for agri-business focusing on strengthening forward market linkages and expanding segments of vegetables, maize, cardamom and dairy value chains. |
