Mr.Shyam Krishna Ghimire is the Project Coordinator responsible for the overall implementation, supervision and monitoring of the project activities.

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The project activities were directed towards the women empowerment through economic promotion which were supposed to be locally responsive, effective and sustainable. For the economic empowerment of women, focus was given on micro enterprise development to generate benefits relatively in shorter period of time. The program activities were based on the needs of the community, building on existing livelihood options and strengths with effective service delivery in order to upscale beyond the subsistence level while taking into account low risk bearing ability, low investment capability and higher risk of decapitalization in respect of resource-poor households.

The project  mobilized women motivators/social mobilizers in the program as it is an effective tool to achieve social inclusion: Working through woman motivators, created better environment for the participation of poor, Dalit, women, and other vulnerables in the program.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES PROVIDED

  • Raised awareness  on benefits of vegetable production
  • Provided trainings on vegetable production, on poultry birds raising and on Hat Bazar (Local market)
  • Supported in marketing facilitation
