Norwegian Minister Visit to Kavre

On June 8, Honourable Deputy Minister of Norway, Bjørg Sandkjær, paid a visit to RMS pilot site Kuikel Thumka village, located at Namobuddha municipality. Executive Director of CEAPRED, Mr. Keshab Datta Joshi, Director General of ICIMOD, Pema Gyamtsho along with other delegates accompanied the visit. The Delegates were welcomed by the Mayor of Namobudhha municipality. During the visit, honourable Deputy Minister observed the water harvest and its efficient use, renewable energy production and utilization, digital agro-advisory services and Knowledge Park. Ms. Sandkjær highly appreciatted the Good Agriculture Practice in Namobuddha especially in the use of biogas and organic farming practices amongst others. The Honourable Minister urged the farmers to carry on with the Good Agriculture Practice they have been practicing and also promised to continue support and guidance from the Embassy of Norway for the same.
