NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The major objective of the project was to stop degradation of Bari land and improve the soil fertility through proper use of organic matter and other materials so as to increase crop yield and farmers get high income in a sustainable manner. The participating farmers were trained to make compost in a scientific way, use leguminous crop in cropping pattern, and take income generating crops without sacrificing the soil fertility.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES PROVIDED

Promote adoption of improved sustainable soil management practices, reduction in the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and increase income at farm level and building implementation capacity and networking at organizational level.
