Technical Committee Meeting for Seed Vision 2020 Held

A technical committee meeting for Seed Vision 2020 was held at central office of CEAPRED on 11th March, 2011. The agenda of the meeting was to prepare a timeline for the final Draft of Seed Vision 2020 as well as to prepare a ToR. Representatives from SDC, SQCC, HMRP, SEAN, VDD and HRD attended the meeting while Mr. Dilaram Bhandari, chief of SQCC chaired it. The major decisions of the meeting were:

  • First draft of Seed Vision 2020 to be prepared by July 2011 and final draft by the end of September 2011
  • Background work such as consultant hiring, ToR finalization, team formation and review to be completed in the months of April-June 2011
  • The team will comprise of experts from various related sectors such as horticulture, cereal and experts on national and international seed context
  • Formation of a working group represented by VSP, SQCC and HMRP which will frequently meet and carry out ground work
