Regional Consultative Workshop on Vegetable Seed Project Phase III Held

Regional Consultative Workshop on Vegetable Seed Project Phase III was held on 26th June 2011 at Malepatan, Pokhara. Mr. Birendra Bahadur Hamal, Regional Agriculture Director chaired the workshop. Mr. Bharat Prasad Upadhyay, Executive Director, CEAPRED gave the welcome speech and also the Introductory Presentation on CEAPRED. The workshop constituted presentations and discussions. MR. Indra Raj Pandey, Project Coordinator, CEAPRED and Mr. N. D Lamichhane presented separate papers highlighting various aspects of the project. Following presentations floor was open for discussions where the participants discussed on sustainability, outreach, and human resource of the project as well as the role of other actors like the DADO, DDCs with regard to the project. The closing remarks was given by the chairperson who stressed on the importance of such project in Nepal and also the need of better cooperation between various stakeholders for further growth of the Vegetable Seed project.
