NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
| The program mainly aimed to reduce the conflict potential in Western Terai districts of Mid and Far West parts of the country by integrating the ex-Kamaiyas and other vulnerable communities around their surroundings and by engaging them in sustainable livelihood opportunities. Their socio-economic empowerment will create grounds for self-reliance and independence on one hand and will enable them to tap employment and income generation opportunities around. The program have direct impact on 7245 families, especially focus on ex-Kamaiyas, Dalits and landless families. For the ex-Kamaiyas, the program was able to build on the earlier efforts mady by various ortanizations and strengthen the existing main committees of the camp. Surrounding communities of ex-Kamaiyas was integrated by developing community structures. |
