Mr. Thaneswor Prasad Pokhrel, Mr. Gopal Shivakoti, Mr. Subhasha Nanda Vaidya and Mr. Ram Prasad Uprety were responsible for the implementation, supervision and monitoring of the project activities.

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The major objective of the Program, initiated as part of the Income Generating Project for Women Farmers along Arniko Highway, was to involve 100 - 500 farm families and raise their annual income by at least Rs. 6,000.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES PROVIDED

Mobilise, organise and technically train to the farmers in different aspects of production, post harvest handling, storage and marketing of vegetable seeds. Establish model farms at different agro-climatic zones to produce breeds and foundation seeds and to sustain seed production activities. Co-operation and collaboration with other line agencies. Capacity building of participating farmers through various trainings
