This pilot project was implemented in cooperation with the District Agriculture Development Office, which aimed to encourage women farmers to grow off-season vegetables in a semi-commercial/commercial scale. Women farmers received on-the-spot training related to off-season vegetables production technology. Besides the technical knowledge, the project provided the necessary inputs to encourage farmers to take up vegetable production. The project facilitated to establish a retail marketing stall at the vegetable market of Lagankhel to provide an outlet for marketing off-season vegetables produced in the villages supported by the project activities.
